1、What time和when区别：都可以对时间提问,但侧重点不同。

2、what time 一般用来询问点钟，或者问某事在某天的哪个具体时刻发生，希望知道的时间比更具体，如： what time does the shop open?　　What time is it? at 8:00. it’s 8:00.2、when可以对点钟、日期、年份、月份等非钟点时间内容进行提问，如： when are you going to leave shanghai? 　When is your birthday? we are going to leave shanghai next week. My birthday is …3、询问做某事的时间，两者在问点钟时可以互换，如： what time do you go to bed? when do you go to bed?4、 when 可以作连词，引导状语从句，意为“当---的时候”，而what time 没有这种用法，如： I am reading a book when my son comes home.
